The Giving Bride

A few months ago,, during Lingerie Fashion week, I had the good fortune of meeting Maggie Gillette, the creative entrepreneur behind the nascent bridal brand, The Giving Bride. What enticed me about Maggie’s work was not only the delicate platinum lace that details the Ashley collection (some of the photos highlighted here) but also her mission: to donate part of the proceeds to women’s shelters. All of these designs are produced with careful oversight in New York, modern intimates that pay homage to another era, where elegant silk chiffon lingerie was tooled with french laces, crystals and pearls.
