With the thermometer hovering close to 100 degrees, the overwhelming theme in Paris this weekend is the weather and keeping cool. Couple the heat with the fact that the entire city just went on sale, and it’s not that easy to come up with any inspirational trends.
There are almost no new collections in the stores, but I did manage to see a few sprouts of emerging fall color, mainly blue.
Of greater interest was the very “french” take on eye candy that always manages to separate this style mecca from the pack.

My real purpose here is to work. The show starts today where I will spend three days (non-airconditioned!) scouting merchandise. Day one is always a jet lag induced walk about anyway. This one ended with a good French meal with old friends and colleagues. More tomorrow.
