I recently discovered that I tend to eat several aphrodisiacs on a daily basis, which may have something to do with my sensual appetite. I’ll invite you to do your own sensual eating research and suggest some of my favorite foods that happen to be high in nutrients and can be pleasure inducing. Culinary aphrodisiacs are easy and fun to incorporate in your sensual life, here’s a list to consider experimenting with and how they can elevate your desire:
Salmon, walnuts, pumpkin seeds and flaxseeds are all packed with omega 3 fatty acids, which keep sex hormone production at its peak.
Vanilla beans mildly stimulate the nerves, which can make sexual sensations feel even better. Definitely consider some vanilla ice cream for dessert.
Watermelon contains the phytonutrient citrulline, which leads to more nitric oxide in your body causing the blood vessels to relax and circulation to speed up which means faster arousal.
Hot Chili Peppers have capsaicin, a chemical that increases blood circulation and stimulates nerve endings so you will feel more turned on.
Asparagus and Avocados contain vitamin E which helps your body circulate hormones that stimulate sexual responses like clitoral swelling and vaginal lubrication.
Bananas can make one think of a penis but more importantly, it gives us potassium which enhances muscle strength and intensifies orgasm contractions.
Chocolate or cocoa contains phhenylethymine which can stimulate subtle feeling so of excitement and well-being that makes us more open to having sex.
Oysters are brimming with zinc which cranks up the production of testosterone, which is linked to a higher sex drive.
Pomegranates are known for their antioxidants which protect the lining of blood vessels, allowing more blood to course through them. This also increases genital sensitivity!
Red Wine can relax you as well as boost your blood flow and circulation before and during intercourse due to the antioxidant resveratrol.
In addition to selecting foods that are known to give one a heightened state of pleasure after ingested, consider the following elements, making your sensual feast even more memorable.
Textures: smooth, creamy, crunchy, thick.
Tastes: sweet, salty, spicy, bitter.
Temperature: hot, warm, cold, frozen.
Mood: a visually beautiful table, including the plates, glasses, silverware, napkins, candles, flowers.
Feeding: eating with your hands only, feeding your partner slowly, blindfolding your partner and letting them experience the surprise of each taste
