So many of my pregnant friends have asked me “What are the must have items I need for my hospital bag”? The only thing I tell them is a good nursing bra and your toothbrush. Everything else doesn’t even matter.
I packed like I was going on a mini holiday. Outfits, makeup and toiletries galore. However after having James I didn’t care at all about any of it. The only thing I wanted was my Bravado body silk nursing bra. The nurse even looked at me like I was crazy when I told her I didn’t want to take it off right before delivery. With being SO exposed during the whole birth thing, it was the only thing that made me feel good. The girls were in place. And that made me extremely happy.
I don’t think I took that bra off until I got home, two days later. It was SO easy to use while I breast fed in the hospital. Just like I mentioned in the review, its easy to hook and unhook the cup one handed and the neckline made me feel like I had some pretty little bra on underneath that unflattering hospital gown. When I got home I switched between the body silk and the Original Nursing bra by Bravado. Rotating them in between washes. I slept in them, ate in them, ran errands in them, and if I could shower in them I probably would have.
I can’t say enough good things about this company. I’m 13 weeks postpartum and I’m still wearing them, even though I have stopped breast-feeding (that story is a whole other post). I LOVE how you can turn the nursing bras into regular bras. I even wore the Original nursing bra to my yoga class and it worked liked a charm. The best thing about these wire free bras is that they found a way to give girls like me support and no uni-boob!
Anybody pregnant, nursing or that just wants a comfy bra, I highly suggest picking one of these up!
