I spent today with my blogging cohort, Ali Cudby indulging in a taste of French extravagance. Meeting Ali at Angelina’s, the landmark tea room renowned for their rich desserts and perfect Parisian atmosphere; I insisted that she gratify her palette with their signature hot chocolate and whip cream confection.
The Atelier is a sleek sanctuary of grey tones, glass walls and light wood fixtures bathed in warm lights. One might be at a contemporary spa waiting to be pampered. I did not think I could learn anything new about fit and form, veteran that I think I am, but two hours later, after the undivided attention of Directrice, Noémie Berthaux, I was at a whole new level of intimate satisfaction.
I felt as if I had chosen a perfect piece of body jewelry whose shape and design is meant to coddle a woman’s shape, both inside and out. I know Ali agrees. She will be writing a story for us on the entire session in an upcoming article.
Tomorrow the show begins, which is a good thing, because it’s freezing here and snowing. I am actually looking forward to a day inside!
