Star Power ~ Claudette Lingerie

Up in NH last week visiting & working with Shirley, we took the Portsmouth Harbor tour for a short reprieve.  Passing by the now defunct Portsmouth Naval Prison, the infamous brig where Humphrey Bogart is rumored to have spent a brief respite, I got to thinking about his illustrious career.  I am not much of a TV or Movie fan, but those old black and white films where he exudes machismo as he lights his leading ladies’ cigarette and she augments the sexual tension just by exhaling are classics.  I never tire of watching them.  It was all about suggestion, strong men and even stronger women; the setting somewhat seedy, a bit steamy and fraught with quiet drama.  This is Film Noir at its best before the razzle dazzle that cinematic technology birthed. What made it so brilliant were the use of understatement to arouse, detail to expose and a story line of subtle evolution.

All of this came together for me when I first viewed Claudette’s new video, an intimate expose of the underbelly of a fashion photo shoot. Created to define the brand profile, it features the 2014 spring collection. Based on the fan response to the Sophia Icon balconet bra delivering soon, they have elevated this style to celebrity status giving it a star turn in this Intimate black and white nod to film noir. Designed  in a stretch crepe and lightly padded for subtle shaping, Icon is a 5 part construction enabling a great fit for sizes 28-38, A-G cups.  Sophisticated, sensual and sophic, the woman who wears Claudette Lingerie is never afraid to make an impression.
