Beauty Perfect ~ Barbara

On my 13^th birthday, my mother gave me a simple pearl and diamond ring that had been designed for her as a young girl. Made from one of my grandfather’s tie tacks, it was very special to her.   I, in turn, gave it to my own daughter on her 13th  birthday.  It has been a family treasure for four generations.  To me, these stones conjure the memory of my mother’s most precious lesson, that true femininity is a balance between integrity and power.  Pearls are the oldest known gem in existence, highly regarded for their purity, beauty and value.  Diamonds add sparkle, romance and glamour to the equation.  Together they are a very provocative combination. This ring is symbolic of a feminine and elusive grace, ethereal and cloaked in history.

There are elements of Lingerie that manage to capture that same allusion; laces made in Calais, pale hues that melt into the body, and sophisticated shapes that capture a woman’s curves without transforming them.  When I saw the Beauty Perfect collection from Barbara, created in an exquisite seamless second skin stretch leavers lace, I was mesmerized by the sheer artistry of these styles.  But, in the nude color, aptly called peau (skin in French), my simple, delicate family ring was what I remembered.  Barbara has used their 85 year history of excellence in lingerie design to engineer this full underwire moulded bra and light control panty  sizes 32-40, B-E cups and XS – XL.  Innovative and seductive, these bodies transcend time and will surely be a mainstay of the Barbara Lingerie Brand.
