Spending weeks at a time in Cabo, one learns another way of life, far from the tours and hustle. There is everyday living to consider and somehow, merchant that I am, I always find a way to tap into the local trends. Ideas live everywhere if we mine them. I always check out Pepita’s Magic of The Moon boutique when I am here; there is always a fashion statement and the fact that much of the shop’s content is made by Pepita herself, makes the message more appealing. She is a favorite of local expats and international travelers, excellent at tapping into the Mexican spirit. I stopped by the store to see what was new and this time I was confronted with a flotilla of lace. Lace has a special hold on me; it is an art form, complex, beautiful and therefore, fiercely feminine and very romantic. These garments were interesting and inspirational. Perhaps it is the Lingerie shrink in me, but I thought their story was worth listening to.
