Lingerie Briefs ~ by Ellen Lewis

Easy ~ Eberjey

Untitled-1

I’m back in Cabo again, wedding over and family returned east to in their proper roosts. It’s hotter than when I left in January. The season is inching closer to summer. I was so excited about escaping the horrific Northeast weather that I forgot just how much the temperature informs the culture here. I have mentioned the colors, the flowers, the water, and sand and I am sure there will be more, but right now I am focused on fabrics.  The clothing du jour in this temperate zone is light, very light, and often but not always pale or white. The best styles drift across the body without really embracing the skin. Linen, gauze and whisper knits float across this seascape creating a casual breezy interpretation of the environment. Perfect for this weather is Eberjey’s Baxter short and peasant top. Designed in a very soft pointelle knit pattern, it drapes the torso without confining it. Serving a dual purpose, it could easily travel through this desert to the ocean keeping a woman cool on a sultry summer night. Available now in pale grey and pearl pink, it is already a best-seller, confirming its repeat status for fall 2015.
