Lingerie Briefs ~ by Ellen Lewis

Perfection ~ Anita® Active

5529_Aqua-aI remember when I invited my parents to my first apartment.  I set out a Lucite chess set that I had received as a wedding gift and dusted it thoroughly. I knew that the first thing my father would do when he walked through the door was notice it. My dad was fastidious to an extreme. But then so was the entire Lewis clan. I am a definite outlier, but some of his intense attention to detail and elevated work standards must have passed to me by osmosis. Much to my dismay, I have always noticed more than I probably should, pushing constantly for perfection. So, I was not surprised to learn that 3 of my 4 grandparents, although I was 4th generation, were of German descent. The focus on minutiae which builds the foundation of an enduring product ran through their veins. And even though I take after my 1st generation Russian merchant grandfather, I had absorbed enough to recognize why cleaning that chess set would make my visit with my parents much more amenable.

German engineering holds an elite position when it comes to product development and that is probably why the 130 year old Anita® brand has gained so much horsepower in the USA lingerie market. The essence of their DNA is all about fit and I can personally attest to it. As a rider, I have a wardrobe of active bras that address my hard to fit needs and I have no issues with the brands I wear.  I have worn the award winning Anita® wireless Momentum sports bras (5529) for several years, both to yoga and the gym. But recently, I tried the underwire version (5519) and I am “in love”. It is easily one of the most comfortable bras I have ever worn, holding fast through a pounding workout and sustaining lift and breathability throughout the day. The construction of this design proves that German engineering deserves its reputation for excellence. There are so many hidden details built into this style’s structure, I can understand why it has thrived as a mainstay for serious athletes sized 32-40, C-H cups. Apparently, Anita® shares my genetic inclination for excellence.
