As we all know, Sunday is Mother’s Day. It also would have been my mother’s 95th birthday had she lived. I lost her in 1988, the year my son was born. My mom was an anchor in my life. Sometimes I wonder what other course I might have taken had she survived past her 68th year. Time has managed my loss, infusing me with the memory of her love and her state of grace. I feel her presence every day of my life: in small vignettes and grand visions. Today, the recollection came at sunrise with the dawning Cabo sky as it cracked the inky night clouds and melted into the horizon.
This celestial moment not only evoked my mother’s voice, but also recalled the new Love + Grace Baha collection for spring 2016. (Coincidence? Or a message from above?) The indigo tie dyed design is a 60’s memoir resurrected onto Love + Grace’s bestselling Cassie Pajama. I love this PJ set because of its generous proportions, contemporary details and luxuriously soft supima cotton and modal fabric. It is a haven of contentment; a place to rejuvenate when there is no place else to go. Fitting XS – L, and made in California, it is the essence of calming beauty, elegance and casual style.
