A few weeks ago, Alison, my social media guru, and I were having a discussion about Maison Close and whether or not, the brand belonged in the Gallery on Lingerie Briefs. Alison’s weekly column in the Gallery showcases new and/or independent talents with niche followings. We decided that perhaps, this was not the correct venue because Maison Close is now more mainstream. The brand is recognized globally within their particular merchandising channel; chic lingerie with an edge of erotica. At 30 years old, the collections provide a sensual balance to many retail assortments of basic bras and pajamas. They are a favorite of sophisticated women with an appreciation of boudoir lingerie and its fashion potential beyond the bedroom. These are intimates with a plan: to empower a woman’s sense of self. Maison Close Lingerie is an artistic expression of a designer’s imagination: maybe naughty, maybe nice but absolutely intriguing. Since the holidays are nigh, and festive spirits are engaged, I decided to gift you with a little Spring 17 preview here. Voilà Vertige d’Amour.
