Usually, by the time I return to Cabo San Lucas each March, the hump backs have begun their migration back to Alaska from their warm Mexican breeding grounds. But this year, it has been unusually cool here and as a result, there are still plenty of whales and their offspring offshore. Not one to miss an obvious opportunity, I decided to hire a boat and try this adventure about which I have heard so much positive feedback and am never here to witness. Nothing quite prepares you for sighting a 50+ foot whale breaching the ocean within yards of where one is sitting. A spray raises from the sea, the water separates, and a 40+ ton body glides above the surface, rises from the ocean and dives; the magnificent fluke (tail) the last thing to disappear. What a completely fulfilling experience!
You might wonder what my recent excursion whale watching has to do with my new go to Wacoal bra, but I can explain. They are both examples of a vivid encounter. The Vivid Encounter underwire bra delivers such a satisfying result: comfort so absolute that I find myself wearing it constantly; it is, for me, a joyful affair. It’s a perfect t-shirt bra designed with an absolutely flat lace over an incredibly soft microfiber cup. It is so light weight; it is difficult to fathom how supportive it is. The j-hook detail provides just enough ‘heave ho’ to guarantee no gravitational descent during long hours of wear. There is absolutely no band, strap or wire pressure which for a larger breasted woman is a rare commodity combined into one style. Engineered in the superb Wacoal fit, it supports sizes 32-42, C-G cups. I wore it on the long plane ride down here. I wore it whale watching. I am wearing it now. It’s worth the investment.
