Lingerie Briefs ~ by Ellen Lewis

Sexy is Subjective

By ELLEN LEWIS

This editorial was originally inspired by my love of the Justin Timberlake song, SexyBack. Then I realized that perhaps the words might prove “uncomfortable” to some readers or worse yet, passé. Would anyone get it? So, I moved on to the obvious, sexy lingerie is back on the fashion radar and, after all, it’s also the beginning of the Holiday season, so why not? I emailed multiple brands asking for an image of a sexy piece of lingerie.   Clearly, sexy has many interpretations. Mine is comfort in one’s own skin, for others it’s all about fun. That come hither look still exists, though not my cup of tea. If you ask my husband, he’ll mention the famous scene in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid when Katherine Ross seduces Paul Newman by unfastening one button at a time of her long sleeve, high neck long white cotton nightgown. For those of you, not of my generation, sorry for the nostalgic comparative, but really, you should watch the movie. It’s a classic. (Aubade at the top)
