Without a doubt, the foundations business is a force at the Curve NY show. It is a showcase of practical, functional, solution based, and fashionable bras and panties. However the prevalence of sleepwear and loungewear, traditional, eclectic, elegant and commercial can not be ignored. There was a plethora of pajamas, lounge pieces and soft support styles all focused on comfort first.
Adding to this mix is the networking element, the extraordinary bonds that only happen face to face and the effect this has on business perspectives. There is nothing better for informing relationships than direct communication. For me, this is priceless. My meeting with head honcho of Anita, Georg Weber was my personal show highlight (more about that in a later post.)
A few additional details to add to the trends I have already identified in yesterday’s Evolution Show report as well as last month’s Salon International de la Lingerie recap: wide legs, voluminous shapes, watery florals and abstract graphic prints, shine, sparkle, were evident here, particularly in swimwear and casual pieces. The highlights featured in the 100 images below should confirm those reports.
