Ravello Lingerie: Timeless Elegance Inspired by the Amalfi Coast

Launched in late 2021, US-based Ravello Intimates was inspired by a day at the shopping mall where sisters Marina and Gianna DiTommaso found themselves struggling to find bras that ticked all of their check boxes: comfortable, supportive, sexy, and affordable too.
Although they both already had steady jobs in corporate finance and management, the pair had grown up witnessing the challenges and exciting triumphs of entrepreneurship via their parent’s business. Combined with a shared passion for fashion, it meant they had always dreamed of starting their own clothing company and now it seemed like they’d finally found their niche. So, leaning on friends in the fashion world for guidance, they dived headfirst into the world of tech packs, sample revisions, and online marketing.
“We thought product development would be the hardest part, but to our surprise, it turned out to be the most enjoyable!” Gianna acknowledged, “As women in our target market, we really connected with understanding fit, fabrics, and comfort, which helped us create high-quality pieces that resonate with our customers.”
Aesthetically, Ravello draws heavily from effortlessly elegant Amalfi Coast dressing. With an Italian-inspired touch that includes focusing on quality materials and timeless beauty, they create lingerie you’ll keep in your collection for years to come. The color palette is one of classic neutrals – black, white, beige and dusty pink – and fabrics are selected not just for their visual appeal, but also their ability to deliver on comfort, support, and standing up to everyday wear.
And based on that disappointing trip to the mall, the sisters also wanted to keep a focus on maintaining an affordable price point. It’s something they’ve definitely achieved with all 2-piece bra sets priced at $80 or less, including a stretch silk bralette and thong for just $68.
Ravello lingerie is a mix of chic but uncomplicated everyday looks such as bras with simple, darted cups in sheer lace or polka dot tulle, and more fashion-focused designs such as the organically-edged Serafina longline with its detachable, wide lace straps.
There’s also sleep and loungewear, both of the subtly glamorous kind – a figure-hugging satin slip, for example – and styles with more of a modern athleisure vibe, such as the Luciana set with biker shorts and a stomach-flaunting long-sleeved top both made from a soft knit fabric. “Each design is thoughtfully crafted to ensure it balances comfort with style, embodying the philosophy that lingerie should not only look beautiful but also feel incredible too!” explains Gianna.
Now three years on from their launch, Marina and Gianna are keen to further expand this loungewear offering into a wider assortment of styles that all incorporate the same principles of comfort, elegance and affordability. They also aim to expand their size range.
For now, Ravello bras are offered in three easy-fit sizes – S, M and L – which cover a range of sizes from 30-38 bands and A-DD cups. Lingerie separates usually retail from $19-$65, and loungewear pieces from $38-$58, although at the moment they’re having a Black Friday sale with significant discounts!
