Offering a unique blend of lingerie, everyday wear and bespoke bridalwear, Entos is a luxury clothing brand based out of León in Mexico. It was founded in 2019 by Fernanda Mena with the help of her mother, Julia González, and has since grown to encompass over 40 boutique stockists worldwide, as well as having its own flagship store called Senses in León.
For Fernanda, her journey to becoming a lingerie designer began when she had two breast tumors removed at a fairly young age. She became more aware of the importance of accepting and loving her body just the way it is, and discovered the renewed sense of elegance and confidence that a beautifully-crafted lingerie set can instill in the wearer.
“For Fernanda, confidence, health, and self-esteem all grow from within,” says Julia, “and this is at the heart of what Entos embodies—the brand name itself means ‘inner’ in Greek.”
An internship with renowned designer Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada in Madrid further cultivated Fernanda’s passion for fashion, during which time she simultaneously studied lingerie design and patternmaking to develop the skills necessary to start her own line.
Everything that Entos creates is designed with the goal of helping women to embrace and adore their bodies; Fernanda and her mother call it “sewing inner beauty”. Pieces are subtly influenced by trends such as when it comes to color, but take their primary inspiration from Fernanda’s other passion, art history, which gives them a refined sense of elegance and a more timeless appeal.
Entos is also designed with versatility in mind, from longline bras and bodysuits that you can style as outerwear, to garments such as satin joggers and lace shirts that do triple duty as comfortable loungewear, chic casualwear, and when you add a pair of heels, striking eveningwear too.
Although the manufacturing happens in Mexico, fabrics are sourced from all over the world to allow for using the finest materials (and those with international certifications such as from OEKO-TEX). A few standouts include the Ninpheas set, inspired by Monet’s “Water Lilies”, which pairs beautiful Swiss embroidery with soft French velvet straps, the matching Giverny bomber jacket in sheer tulle with a rose-gold zipper, and the kimono-inspired Kiharu robe which drapes you shoulder to ankle in soft, flowy Italian lace.
Entos lingerie and ready-to-wear is available to fit sizes XS-XL, covering bra sizes 30B through 38A or 32D. Prices run from $35-$115 for lingerie separates, and $95-$545 for other garment types.
