“News weary, anxious yet optimistic designer/illustrator seeks perky, uplifting, mood boosting bra for fun nights on the town, romantic dinners and all day joy”. After years of comfort, wireless, soft cushy bras of which I am still a big fan, I need a boost. A mental and physical boost is in order as I tip toe into 2026.
This time of year, is always the time I take stock and reevaluate my ambitions, my health choices and my state of mind, we all do. I’ve never seriously analyzed my wardrobe before close to New Year’s Eve, but this year is different. I will take whatever measures I can to get a boost. I had all but forgotten the pride I felt years ago when I looked down at my own bosom, and it was high and heaving and peeked out beneath a low cut blouse and I could hide emergency cab fare there with no fear of it plummeting to the ground. I want to go back to that time, and the easiest way is with a new push up bra.
There are some lovely choices that go from casual to formal. I need one of each. Wacoal’s Petite Embrace Push Up is a great smooth lift, with just enough lace in the center front to peek out from that loosely buttoned blouse.
Fitfully Yours has a style that works all day as well, lots of support, lots of lift and a little lace in a beautiful shade of grey. They call it the Mimi Push Up.
Montelle has many a push up bra and one of the collections, the Prodigy collection has multiple styles from clean and sleek to sexy and lacey. It’s a difficult choice.
Aubade makes the ultimate corsets, I don’t know where they get their laces, but they never look old, they are timeless and always gorgeous. Check out the Underwire Basque, the entire collection is quite tempting.
If I want to be sucked in and lifted, I’m going for Dominque Apparel’s Hannah Push Up Strapless, it reminds me of one my favorite pieces back in the day! Perfect to ring in the New Year!
