Fit Fully Yours
There’s something beautifully rebellious about becoming a bride in your 50s. Not rebellious in the loud, middle-finger-to-the-world kind of way; more like finally allowing yourself to take up space. To be seen. To feel beautiful without apologizing for it.
Ajour
This year, I’m getting married for the first time. One of my closest friends is preparing for her third wedding. And somehow, standing together in dressing rooms filled with silk, lace, shapewear, champagne, and laughter, we realized something: at 50, we are still blushing brides.
Maybe even more than before.
Because now we understand that sensuality is not about perfection or youth. It’s about presence. Confidence. History. It’s about knowing your body not as something to fight against, but as something that has carried you through heartbreak, reinvention, loss, joy, survival, motherhood, ambition, loneliness, passion, and finally back to yourself.
Wacoal
The inspiration for this series, Attack of the 50 Year Old Bride, started as a playful nod to the campy 1950s sci-fi posters I’ve always loved. Giant women towering over cities, impossible drama, exaggerated femininity. But somewhere between the styling and the photoshoots, it became something more emotional for me.
Because women over 50 are rarely allowed to be “larger than life.”
We’re often told to shrink ourselves. Dress quieter. Desire less. Fade gracefully into the background.
I’m not interested in that narrative.
Montelle
I wanted to photograph older women in lingerie not for the male gaze, but for ourselves. To honor the divine feminine in all her forms: sensual, powerful, soft, playful, emotional, unapologetic. I wanted women to see images that reflected beauty with history behind it.

And honestly? Finding lingerie that feels elevated and modern for women our age can still feel strangely limiting. That’s why I fell in love with the cobalt blue Maison Close pieces layered with bridal styling. Who says “something blue” has to be pastel and delicate? Sometimes it can be bold. Saturated. Electric. A little dangerous even.
Just like us.

These photos are theatrical and cinematic, but underneath the fantasy is something deeply real: women learning to embrace themselves fully at every stage of life. Not despite aging but because of it.
At 50, we are not past romance.
We are not past sensuality.
We are not past reinvention.
Sometimes the most beautiful love story begins after you’ve already lived a whole life.
