Several years ago there were not many lingerie blogs in existence; in fact there was a group of maybe 5-10 of us who blogged regularly, had our niche and knew one another. In those “early days” of blogging one of my favorite stories to consistently cover was the Andres Sarda runway show. Nearly every year this Spanish luxury lingerie label would pull out all the stops and showcase its brand in the most fantastic and extravagant way with its high-fashion concept runway show. Not many, if any, lingerie brands do this. It has always been a pleasure to see the brand’s Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Madrid coverage, and this year is no exception. The theme for this year’s Spring/Summer 2017 show was the “Four Seasons”. We see the flowers of Spring lead us into the nautical-themed warmth of Summer, then to the textures and transparencies of Autumn leaves, and ultimately the dazzling bow-wrapped presents of Christmas! This combination of lingerie and swimwear is loosely revealed in the actual collection that will be available for purchase. As with any runway show, only the most practical bits show up in stores, which is sometimes a shame because who wouldn’t want to bring this fantasy home?
