Skin Worldwide Swim on Lingerie Briefs

No one who is breathing today can doubt that we are sailing on winds of change. The shifts in decades of established norms, political and cultural have been seismic in the past few years. This is a good thing, even if adjustment to the impact requires some serious analysis, growing pains and, initially, reluctant acceptance. In fashion, the influence is huge. Just last month at the semi-annual Interfiliere show, Concepts Paris heralded the arrival of “HYBRID classifications:  garments with multiple-end uses that can be worn in different ways and on different occasions.”  Next week in her blog, The Hybridization of Design, Tina Wilson carries the message to the street as she discusses and illustrates the impact of this trend on the Lingerie Market. Retailers and brands aware of this much bigger picture are on the cusp of something big.

Skin Worldwide Ltd. has taken their established mission of “addressing the body” to an entire new level with the launch of their 2017 swim range. Based on their extraordinary success at the recent Cabana show in Miami, Skin Swim has hit a retail nerve. Designed to take a woman “from the beach to dinner, to a work out, or running to take the next flight” this collection tells a story of “swim she can live in”. Adhering to their edgeless, modern and soft lingerie signature, Skin has created refined shapes, some reversible, that integrate seamlessly into a ready wear wardrobe. Constructed in European swim crafted fabrics and produced in a dedicated swimwear factory, these styles offer a spectrum of choices for skimpy to full coverage fit needs. Recognized for their excellence in intimate apparel, buyers dived right in, positioning Skin swimwear as a real player in this category. I, for one, salute their initiative. As consumers blur the lines of once accepted fashion rules, the potential for lingerie brands is enormous. Amalgamated lifestyle dressing is the future and Skin has staked an early claim
