As I culled together this portfolio of lingerie bridal images, I started a search for fine art icons that were inspired by wedding scenes. Paintings from masters such as Marc Chagall, Edmund Blair Leighton, Grace Hartigan and Frank Salisbury beckoned. The history of art has long been inspired by brides and that was my intent as I prepared to integrate them into this blog. The concept of merging art with experience resonates so well with me because in fact, that has always been our goal on Lingerie Briefs.
Then I read a very interesting article in The Knot about a modern wedding entertainment trend: Live Wedding Painting. It happens to fascinate me because recently my daughter, who is an artist was asked to do live painting at a figure skating show. She balked at first, but made a commitment to a friend and ended up having a great time interacting with the guests. It added a new dimension to the affair and the audience loved it. The bridal business is evolving, not only in real time but also in the Lingerie Industry. Imagine these styles captured on canvas: a modern method of communication using an age old skill set.
