The Resilient Woman

Last Fall, as the Pandemic was rounding its 3rd quarter of consumer chaos, Stephanie and I decided that it might be nice to offer the brands a New Years editorial, our treat. Response was positive, but access to samples presented a challenge. We were ok with this as the market message of “Back to Basics” was clear.  We could really use whatever was on hand. We hired models, secured a studio, and set a December shoot plan and then, Covid began to crest. We lost our venue, models, and intentions. Regrouping for early January, we were again stymied when the Capital attack locked down Washington D.C. (where Stephanie resides) even further. We set February for our reboot figuring that production delays and redirection have become a familiar part of the everyday business vernacular.  A photo shoot while social distancing is its own kind of difficult. This editorial is, for us, a statement of resilience, our way of supporting the lingerie community during unfathomably difficult times. The challenges we have been confronting don’t change the attitude we want to convey: 2021 will be a breath of fresh air. The windows are open, the curtains are moving, and a hopeful energy will nourish our roots.
