That’s me pictured above! Hanging out at Cerritos, one of my favorite beaches in Baja, Mexico. Cerritos is well known for its surfing vibe and general laid-back attitude. We ‘gringos’ go there to escape the Cabo party scenes and the treacherous surf for which most of the area is known. Surfing, a big-time activity here has never appealed to me. I fear some crazy sea monster will swallow me up. (Strange since I have absolutely no fear of a 1000 lb. horse, me astride, cantering through the desert). However, my friend Ann, is just beginning surfing lessons at the ripe young age of 60+. She takes me along to sit seaside during her board lessons. I don’t mind, because afterwards, we commiserate at Barracudas food truck with tacos and margaritas (mines a skinny).
