Enerji Lingerie: Self-Care Through Luxury and Crystals

For many of us, donning a beautiful lingerie set in the morning offers an instant confidence boost. Sophie Charlesworth, the founder of newly-launched Enerji, calls her lingerie her “secret source of power”, but it’s not the only thing that helps her feel ready to take on the world each day; she’s also highly passionate about crystals, which she credits with transforming the way she approaches life.
She began carrying crystals around inside her bra as part of a daily self-care practice, but realized there had to be a better way to keep them close. That’s when she came up with the idea for Enerji, a lingerie brand that would give new meaning to the phrase ‘dress for success’ by combining elegant and luxurious design with easily-interchangeable crystal pendants.
“I came from the beauty and wellness industry,” she explains, “I’ve always been passionate about helping people feel their best, both inside and out, so transitioning into lingerie felt like a natural extension of that passion. I wanted to create something that empowers women both physically and emotionally.”
Much like Videris, a brand we covered previously which encourages setting an intention for the day ahead through thoughtful choice of color, British brand Enerji promotes a daily ritual of picking out a crystal adornment to do the same.
Each of the eight teardrop-shaped pendants is set onto an 18k gold-plated hook and attaches to a subtle gold ring positioned at the center of the bra, so you can switch them out whenever you want to. “My favorite is probably Citrine,” Charlesworth told me, “It’s known for promoting success and positivity, and I find it really uplifting when I need a boost!”.
It took two years to take Enerji from concept to completion, and she worked alongside an experienced designer to ensure the lingerie would be just as beautiful as the crystals. The brand eventually debuted with two capsule ranges that each offer a balconette, a plunge, a brief and a thong, and both feature bespoke Swiss embroideries.
Botanica is inspired by the sun’s radiance, featuring light, luminous silk satin and a glossy floral embroidery. Eden is moodier, an all-black range with flashes of 24k gold-plated hardware to capture the beauty and mystery of the night sky. Soon, Eden will be available in a rich Plum shade too.
Looking further down the line, Charlesworth is hoping to offer additional pendant options such as birthstones, as well as a line of sustainable everyday bras with hidden pockets for carrying your own personal crystals around as well. She also has a vision for developing Enerji into a more holistic lifestyle brand that will go beyond just lingerie, to focus on other aspects of self-care too.
