TéAmore: Where Unfettered Luxury Meets Secure D+ Support

By ESTELLE PULESTON

When it comes to adorning, and supporting, a fuller bust, there are few options as lavishly beautiful as TéAmore. It’s the creation of Téa York, who left behind a career in engineering to instead engineer luxury D+ bras after becoming frustrated at the lack of designs that delivered comfort, support and a sexy look for sizes deeper into the alphabet.

Based in a small studio in California, the brand puts a strong emphasis on fine craftsmanship, using embroideries and laces (including premium Calais-Caudry lace) that have been produced by family-owned mills in France, alongside lustrous silk, soft Italian mesh, Austrian tulle, and 24k gold-plated hardware.

In small, woman-owned ateliers in Romania and Latvia where seamstresses earn a living wage, these exquisite materials come together along with curve-contouring expertise to form precision-fit demi bras and longline bustiers developed specifically to embrace, lift and flatter a fuller bustline.

TéAmore launched in 2020 and has since grown very deliberately, piece by piece and color by color, all the while embracing the slow-fashion mindset that owning fewer, better pieces allows you to invest in items that truly resonate and make you feel incredible.

The brand’s spectacular Spotlight range from its debut collection is still available, and Dusk, also part of the launch, now comes in Sapphire, Berry or Blush in addition to Black. Three more ranges have also been added over the years: Swan, which Téa describes as a “modern classic with a romantic edge”; Stencil, a graphic combination of sheer beige tulle, black silk outlining and black embroidery; and my favorite range to date, Cleopatra, an elevated (even more so!) remake of Spotlight with opulent golden embroidery contrasting against a black tulle background.

Téa has also worked hard to increase the TéAmore size range, allowing even more full-busted women access to lingerie that’s as sensual as it is supportive. Initially launched in 30-36 D-H, the brand now goes up to a 38H and 40G, as well as extending up to a size 2XL in selected coordinates.

“Looking ahead, TéAmore is expanding this year with fresh new color stories and thoughtful additions to core ranges,” says Téa, “continuing to evolve while staying grounded in our original promise: luxury lingerie engineered for D+ bodies, made with rare materials, and designed to make women feel powerful and confident in her own beauty and value.”

The brand is available online as well as via a growing selection of fit-focused specialty boutiques in the US. Bras range from $195 to $472, and coordinates from $128 to $189.
