It’s no secret that the wedding business in the USA is big, over $50 billion and counting. The bond between lingerie and the bridal industry is indisputable; some brands focused completely on solution intimates for every conceivable dress. Functionality certainly makes a difference and fit perfection is a no brainer. But even more enticing for the lingerie industry is the expansion of the thought process that surrounds this enormous retail opportunity. Weddings are not one day affairs. Think engagement, shower, bachelorette party, rehearsal dinner, the ceremony, reception and honeymoon. I had this dialog several months ago with my colleagues at Simone Pérѐle, mainly because their classic bridal foundations are such a mainstay of their collections and by default, critical to many store assortments.
