Why I Love the Evelyn & Bobbie Brand

There are moments in this business when long-held assumptions quietly unravel. Mine arrived six years ago at Curve New York, when I first met Bree McKeen, founder and CEO of the Evelyn & Bobbie brand. Bree was determined to convince me that I, a committed 36G and a veteran merchant with more than four decades in the lingerie industry, could finally embrace a wirefree bra. I was skeptical, to put it mildly. We agreed to disagree. After all, the elusive combination of support and comfort in a non-wire bra had never materialized for me. Not once. Then Bree handed me the Defy Bra.

I still remember wearing it for the first time. It was, quite honestly, transformative. Bras had been my nemesis for most of my adult life. Yes, there are underwire styles I love and trust, but the entire wirefree movement had essentially passed me by. Until Defy. Each serves a purpose. Each creates a different silhouette. I own them all. The only exception is the Starlett Plunge. Some things, frankly, I simply do not need assistance enhancing.

While Defy remains my dependable everyday workhorse, the Structured Scoop and the Bobbie Scoop have become my newest obsessions.
