Metamorphosis

It’s been raining all summer in the Northeast.  So when the sun broke through last week for two consecutive days, it was a pleasure to actually sit outside on my porch and witness a butterfly floating through the milkweeds.  The rainy weather has kept us cocooned since spring.
It’s hard to believe that it’s the middle of August and these colorful gems, often regarded as flying flowers, have already begun their migration south.  I am hopeful that their presence is a sign of change. After all, it has been said that “if nothing ever changed, there’d be no butterflies.” This then, is an apt name for the new Butterflies Collection by
