I was married in City Hall with two witnesses present. After the ceremony the four of us went to dinner at a beautiful local restaurant. I could never quite grasp the point of a lavish affair and all the chaotic fanfare that accompanied the planning process. It seemed, at the time, like an elaborate waste of money for a one night stand. I never really grew up with the fantasy of walking down an aisle in a fairytale dress. I think it was because of my natural proclivity for flying below the radar. I do not relish being the center of attention. So I am trying to figure out why I am so captivated by the whole wedding planning business and all the hoopla that it embodies. Maybe it’s the poetic potential of the affair, or the artistry of the bridal dress but I am intrigued by the process and the drama of the final production. Not usually a fan of reality TV, I have to admit that my recent discovery on We TV of David Tutera’s wedding makeover show, “My Fair Wedding”, has become a guilty pleasure. He fulfills one girl’s impossible fantasy turning it into a dream come true while imbibing it with a touch of class. Every detail is addressed, including special treats designed to make sure that the she will be the center of attention. It does not matter if a girl needs financial support or she is Chelsea Clinton, every bride deserves to be a Queen For A Day.

That is why I think that the novelty Intimate Apparel items offered by The Classy Bride brand are such clever gifts.
