It’s What’s Inside That Counts

Today I had lunch with my 89 year old friend, Roslyn Harte.  Roz is still on top of her game as she Rosalyn Hartecelebrates her 58th year in the Lingerie Industry.  A pint size design legend with an outsize heart of gold, she is not one to mince words and is a force to be reckoned with. It’s never a good idea to get in her cross-hairs. After we attended the Doneger Trend presentation and grabbed some Chinese food at Gingers on 7th Ave, she herded me into Barami, a store, personally, I would never have entered on my own.  Chastising me for not noticing a retailer that is right on trend as a moniker of merchandising expertise, I decided to take a good look.  It’s uncanny how on target they are.  And the colors spoke volumes.  OK, this is not lingerie, but rather full fashion ready to wear. It does not matter, the message was loud and clear.  And I, who should know better, ate some humble pie.
