Dramatic Fashion ~ Chantelle Lingerie

I have been to Paris more times than I can count for a variety of reasons: school, work, and pleasure. As you might imagine, I have seen both the required sites as well as many niche venues worthy of investigation, some of them multiple times. But as luck would have it, I have never been inside the Paris Opera; my timing was never right. This 19^th century Beaux Arts masterpiece is an opulent architectural triumph designed by Charles Garnier at the request of Napolean III. However, for me, it is Marc Chagall’s ceiling installed in 1964 that taunts my imagination. Somewhat controversial for its digression in technique from the elaborate décor, the evocative color palette and lyrical figures are a testament to this artist’s unique style. Juxtaposed within this intricately engineered and sumptuous venue, it anchors the famous chandelier that stories the long running musical, Phantom of The Opera.

Naturally when I saw Chantelle’s new Opera collection, I thought about the Paris Opera House. The correlation might have stopped there, with the name, except for the combination of the exquisite floral leavers lace design combined with Chantelle’s technical fit expertise. What impresses me most is this brands use of creative theatrics engineered into a group of richly colored intimates available for sizes 32 – 38, B – G cups. To add to the drama, long after the fashion show is over, I am very sure that this chemise will have a very long run at retail. I would not be surprised to learn that the classic Christine Daaé is wearing some of these dramatic underpinnings as she rejects the Phantom’s passion.
