How Does Your Garden Grow? Dimanche Lingerie

justine-detail

Writing this on the last day of the month while it is pouring rain in NY, I certainly hope that the old adage “April showers bring May flowers” holds true.    Its 42° today but I am flying to Cabo San Lucas on Friday so good riddance to this volatile weather.  I will soon be languishing in my garden replete with bougainvillea, hibiscus and other tropical flora.  I love flowers. Maybe that is why I stopped dead in my tracks at the Dimanche Lingerie booth at Curve last Feb.  The stand was blooming with floral printed lingerie delicately trimmed with light laces and tiny ornaments.  This is particularly prescient because I don’t have a natural affinity for printed intimate apparel but this 10 year old Italian brand has already proved its viability in the global market with their classic assortments. It’s their fashion landscape, though, that got my attention anchoring their collection with a kaleidoscope of color and design.  Merchandising basic essentials and beautiful fantasy is a balancing act.  Great businesses have learned how to nurture both. Dimanche seems well nourished for growth. Some say that a garden defines its caretaker’s soul.
