Sooth The Soul ~ Only Hearts
It’s really hot outside. Today, New York is pushing 100 degrees. I am thinking that the Cloisters in upper Manhattan might be a good place to be in this oppressive weather. I was driving past the Fort Tyron exit and it occurred to me that this museum wrought in the medieval architectural style of a European abbey might just be a way to escape, not only the heat, but the entire climate darkening the news feeds these days. Sometimes, a moment away from the swelter can be rejuvenating. Maybe I can find serenity in the iconic Unicorn Tapestries that are the core of this landmark. They remind us that art does have healing powers.
These hangings conjured thoughts I had when I saw the Only Hearts velvet collection last January in Paris. I knew that the rich, lush patterns were worthy of a highlight. Apparently, I was correct. The Tapestry Devore kimono delivering this month is already a brand best-seller. This beautiful lightweight velvet burn-out design promises wardrobe balance between a sultry summer and fortuitous fall. Made in New York City, it represents classic Only Hearts inner-outerwear™ appeal. A woman can wear it to the museum or wrap herself in its artistic luxury while cocooning at home. Either way, it’s an easy solution, something hard to come by and of great value in the coming weeks.
