A Velvet Touch ~ Chantelle Lingerie
At the age of 22, I acquired my first dog, a pure white Samoyed Husky. He was quite a diversion from the wiener dogs that commandeered my household most of my childhood. Tarot (I guess you can guess where my head was in those days) was an unintended purchase. Accompanying a colleague who was looking for a pet, I became smitten by a 4 month old fluff ball whose energy stood out from the rest of the litter. I knew nothing about this breed, but I was sure he would change my life. I wasn’t disappointed. He was a perfect accessory, great for meeting guys. He kept me safe and secure; his size camouflaging his engaging disposition. His warm and cuddly coat kept me cocooned at night until my husband later banned him from the bed. Petting him was like touching velvet; effected by a double layer of soft white fur. I actually saved it after grooming to be spun into yarn in later years. The Samoyed is a serious work dog, bred to herd and pull sleds in the far reaches of Siberia. But their gentle natures and gorgeous conformation belie their power and endurance.
Don’t ask me why, but Tarot is the first image that I had when deciding how to profile Chantelle’s new Velvet Touch full cup 3 part bra pictured here. Defying the US propensity to reject white in our undergarments, this particular rendition swaddles the breast with a premium embossed microfiber that is invisible under clothes. One might imagine it would be a perfect layer beneath a sweater knit in Tarot’s fur. Alas, that was years ago when bras such as these fitting 30-44, B-I cups were not available on the market. But leave it to Chantelle to engineer a style that exudes French chic while sustaining considerable support and lift all day long. Everything about this style recalls that stunning animal that brought comfort to my daily life.
