I am not in Mexico at the moment; I came north for the holidays and to prepare for the fall 2018 market. It’s a bit counter intuitive, braving the northeastern weather patterns while most people are escaping south for a sun soaked reprieve. It is, in fact, the beginning of the Swimwear season. And even though I write this wrapped in fleece, there is no doubt that my interest in this enormous industry has been peaked by the fact that I reside seaside for a big part of the year. Beachwear is as prevalent on the Mexican beaches as black everything controls New York fashion. Living in Cabo San Lucas, one might catch sight of the romper pictured above while cruising through the local flea markets, sipping margaritas on the marina or even dining on some tacos at one of the many resort lounges frequented by expats and tourists alike. What you might not realize, is that this trendy vacation attire is actually a bathing suit offered for Spring 18 by Magicsuit®.

Looking forward to 2018 ‘trends’, we have already begun discussing Hybridization; the morphing of lingerie into swimwear and the integration of both categories into ready to wear wardrobes. What I find particularly enlightening is the manner in which Magicsuit® Swimwear has segued into this crossover conversation while sustaining the pulse of their brand signature. These swimsuits have been designed for serious water use and yet, every one of them makes a smooth transition into casual outerwear styles. Are they bodywear, tops or bathing suits? Maybe both. Serving dual needs, there is no compromise on quality. Engineered with Magicsuit®’s exclusive patented “comfortable control” fabric, containing Miratex®, a proprietary fiber containing 2x the amount of LYCRA® XLIFE™ fibers than any other fabric in the swimwear industry, lasting fit and color fastness is guaranteed. The best part of the deal, though, is the ease of care and packing required; minimum hassle, maximum comfort.
