Backstage at The Nutcracker ~ A Holiday Lingerie Fashion Editorial

In search of a theme for our holiday lingerie fashion editorial, Stephanie and I wanted to stay true to our creative aesthetic. How classic is the Nutcracker Suite! I suggested a story about the intimate world in which the dancers live while they are backstage in rehearsal and during the performance. Thirty two brands contributed to this visual panorama of exquisite intimates photographed to capture the symbiotic relationship between lingerie and the ballet. Our principal model, Laura Hess, is a former prima ballerina and has performed in The Nutcracker. She is joined by other professional dancers. The logistics of this shoot proved challenging as we lost our initial stage venue on the East Coast and were forced to move to Minneapolis for the final work. But in her inimitable way, Stephanie pulled it off. This is our gift to our readers and our brands for Holiday 2018. Let the season begin!
