A Splendid Robe for a Splendid Holiday

I understand as I was writing this (Thursday 11/15) that snow was imminent in New York. I was on the phone all morning with colleagues concerned about flights, commuting and the general disruption from inclement weather that descends on the Northern states just in time to screw up holiday plans. Snow or not, it’s cold outside. This is the beginning of cocooning season. Even here in Cabo San Lucas, the Mexicans are already in jackets. It’s uncanny to see them bundled up, but this is the beginning of the winter season and I have to admit a cuddly, comfortable Splendid wrap jacket might be a great evening solution, even here, south of the border.
Ever since I saw the Spendid fall/ holiday 2018 loungewear line in New York last spring, I’ve been anxious to write this blog. The robes are amazing! I smell a holiday best-seller. They are plush, superbly soft, light to the touch, but warm on the body, and designed with a contemporary attitude that separates them from the classic robe tradition. Sherpa linings, draped fronts, laid back luxury make the wraps a perfect layering piece. I am quite sure the jackets will be street-side shortly. Ranging in sizes XS – 3XPlus, they are a perfect gift this Holiday season, functional, comfortable, fashionable and reasonably priced.
