Sustainable Simplicity ~ Opaak

If you’ve been following Lingerie Briefs for a while, you may recall we featured the German lingerie brand Opaak in our Gallery. With its new collection being released in 2020, we thought it would be a wonderful opportunity to reintroduce the brand and share what you can expect to see in stores within the upcoming months.
Inspired by the German word ’opak’, a word that means the opposite of transparent, Opaak is a sustainable lingerie brand that represents understated luxury. Using eco and ethically friendly supply chains, as well as regenerated textiles and GOTS certified organic cotton, it delivers provocative bras, panties and bodysuits that place an equal focus on comfort and minimalist style.
Considering that sustainability is one of the core values of the brand, it comes as no surprise that their upcoming collection, ESSENCE LINE, is inspired by earthly elements. According to the Opaak team, the “ESSENCE LINE is inspired by traces of sand – a symbol for time that passed and shaped us. Attracted by the tactile experience of earth and soil and morphing into reflections of man-made glass, Essence Line is infused with a story of its own past.”
Additionally, the new arrivals in 2020 will include a core collection of basics, along with a wider selection of sizes (select bra styles up to F-cup).
With the arrival of the New Year, and so many of us craving simplicity after the excess of the holidays, Opaak seems like the perfect option for your lingerie wardrobe.
