Who are the designers or brands that stop you in your tracks while scrolling Instagram?
For me, it was recently Merle Noir. Or more specifically, it was the Hanako chemise (above) by the designer featured on (online boutique) Jane’s Vanity Instagram feed. It’s remarkable how exceptionally fine craftsmanship can capture your attention, even with just a fleeting chance!
I have actually featured this Dutch brand here in the Gallery before and considering over three years have passed since I last wrote about them, they were due for a revisit.
The designer is currently renovating their atelier and will be unveiling their new collection and website in the upcoming weeks, but orders can continue to be placed via email (merle@merlenoir.nl). Simply peruse their Instagram account, and you can schedule an online consultation and place orders for bespoke garments even while their boutique is closed (due to Covid-19 precautions). It just goes to show, no global pandemic can stop the momentum of timeless style. As the saying goes, the show must go on, and we’re here for it!
In the meantime, enjoy the latest styles you can order via email or select online boutiques.
