Just a Taste of What’s to Come ~ Paris Salon International de la Lingerie 2023

Arriving in Paris last week, I visited the stores to get some insight on current Spring trends. It’s a challenge in January in France, as the entire retail apparel industry is on sale obliterating most of the new collections. There is, however, one area of foresight and that is the swimwear floor. I find this particularly interesting as this category has always been a precursor of what is to come. In particular, Bon Marche did not disappoint. It was aglow beginning with the spectacular sculptures on display from Sangam Subodh Gupta. Beachwear was all about shine, which you will see in my Paris recap publishing shortly. It’s a mega message for Fall 23. There were also stripes, graphics, ruffles, florals, and simplicity. Fitness and comfort more prevalent at Galleries Lafayette and Printemps also made an appearance.
