Rimoné Paris: A Problem-Solving ‘Small Band, Full Bust’ Brand
By ESTELLE PULESTON
Created by Améni Alak, Rimoné Paris is a newly-launched lingerie brand that has been engineered especially for a large cup size + small ribcage combination, with a mission “to provide the structural mastery required for a fuller bust, delivered through a lens of Parisian luxury.”
Growing up as a dancer, Alak has always been acutely aware of the importance of a precise fit when in movement, for confidence, comfort and support. One of the initial motivators to launch her own brand was the inability to find a backless bra solution that would support a heavy bust without visible ‘invisible’ straps, and without slipping down the moment she started dancing.
In 2020, she left her corporate career to study fashion in Paris and London. “I refused to hand my vision to someone else to interpret,” she wrote on Instagram, “I wanted to learn every part of building it before asking someone else to make it.” In 2024, she started producing the first samples herself, and was careful to ensure they were fit-tested not just while standing still but also in motion.
The debut collection is a diverse yet intentionally-curated selection of 13 products that spans lingerie, activewear, swimwear, and beach/resort wear. As well as its large-cup-small-band focus, Rimoné Paris is also built around a versatility that the brand calls “multiwear”, the idea that garments are better when they fulfil multiple roles. Take the Mirage kimono that can be worn as a beach cover-up or buttoned to form a dress, for example, or the convertible resort dress that’s matte on one side and shimmery on the other, plus comes with a removable Bardot sleeve detail.
Nothing encapsulates that idea in more striking fashion however than the brand’s hero product, the Infini bra. A patent-pending underwired design that took three years to develop and is completely unlike any bra you’ll see in stores, it has interchangeable straps which can be configured in various ways, including having them simply looped around the shoulder to create a fully-backless silhouette.
For times you don’t need something fully backless, a strap can be added across the back to anchor it in place like a regular bra, sitting low enough that it would still pair well with many low-backed outfits. This Infini bra is available in a ‘plain’ version in scallop-edged lace, or a pretty Lux version with metallic floral embroidery (multi-tonal in the white colorway) and a choice of plain or crystal-detailed straps.
The other bras in the collection include: the front-close Jardin bustier, designed to accommodate layered-into-outerwear looks; the Whisper bralette in lined French lace, for days you want gentler support and comfort; and the Sports bra, designed as a cropped cami layered over a supportive power-mesh base layer, with side boning for added structure.
In swimwear, the Eclipse swimsuit – which you can also wear as a bodysuit away from the beach – comes with integrated bra-like support (a non-negotiable for the designer, who used to resort to wearing a bra under her swimsuits), straps with press-stud length adjusters cleverly disguised as decorative details, and detachable multiway back lacing. The Morpho bikini has a similarly-versatile range of strap configurations.
The Rimoné Paris size range runs XS-XL and is specifically intended to fit a fuller bust. With prices going from 300€ to 500€ for a bra (approx. $340-$560), it doesn’t come cheap. But if you’re a full-busted, small-banded person who’s yet to find a swimsuit that fits well and supports you, a workout romper that fits every curve like a glove, or a backless top solution that actually works, it may just be the brand that finally solves your problem.
