Mama Gena’s School of Womanly Arts
By Margaret Shrum
This weekend I graduated with 250 spectacular women from Mama Gena’s School of Womanly Arts Mastery program 2012. Fifteen years in the making, the course is designed to teach women tools and skills to be your fierce, unfettered self. As creatrix, Regina Thomashauer says that she is “offering us all a new, original definition of what it means to be Woman in full celebration of the feminine.”
I first discovered Mama Gena back in 2007. Dr. Christiane Northrup, a leader in women’s health endorsed Mama Gena’s books and program and sparked a curiosity in me. I attended one of her orientations and was greeted with a pink boa, pink flyers and lots of energy by her “team pleasure” and staff. Now, I tend to like pink and enjoy playing with boas and consider myself a pleasure researcher, but I was still skeptical of her course that required several thousands to attend.
What really got me was that all of the Mastery graduates who were at the intro had something incredible in common. They all looked gorgeous, were glowing, seemed happy and genuinely believed that the Mastery program transformed them into the Goddesses they appeared to be. Somehow, the stories that were shared compelled me to sign up for the course back in 2007. It was one of the best investments that I ever made in myself. So good that I signed up again in 2012, only to find that my timing was perfect and elegant and that the course blew me away and supported every cell of my being, once again.
It was even better the second time, because I was a different woman, with bigger desires and Mama Gena delivered, adding more to her amazing program. In fact I believe that Mama Gena just gets better with time and I am forever part of her tribe of Sister Goddesses.
There are several books you can read to introduce you to her work. Begin with ” Mama Gena School of Womanly Arts”, her “Owners and Operators Guide to Men” and “Mama Gena’s Marriage Manual”. I have read all three and gifted several copies to women I love, because her work is changing the lives of women and empowering us all to go for our big dreams and desires.
I truly stand for Mama Gena and her work and desire every woman that I love, including my daughter, when she is 18, to take her course and become a “pleasure revolutionary”, embracing all that is beautiful in each and every woman. She teaches the 4th wave of feminism, which encourages women to support, accept and honor each other, without judgment and also embraces and appreciates the incredible men that serve us.
