Dita Von Teese Takes The Stage

It’s no secret that I have great respect for the Dita Von Teese lingerie brand. Some time ago, I wrote a post explaining why. So, I am thrilled that Dita has been named as the hostess of this year’s Femmy Awards to be held February 2 at Ciprani’s in NYC. I do not think that my colleagues on the Underfashion Club board could have found a more fitting woman to steer this gala, now recognized as the premiere event in the Lingerie Industry. Her brand is a carefully balanced collection of price, design and fit. Her bestselling book, Your Beauty Mark, is not only the tale of her journey into stardom but an ode to femininity. Dita is the embodiment of all that the best of Intimate Apparel embraces: strength, sensuality, intelligence, beauty, grace and self-respect.

There are many honorees worthy of recognition: Amazon Fashion, Richard Leeds International, Lane Bryant/Cacique, Best Pacific/New Horizon, Marvin Trust and Francesca Spinetta. These are icons in the Lingerie Industry who will be joined by the hundreds of colleagues who wish to celebrate their achievements. But I guarantee, all eyes will be on Dita Von Teese. I can personally attest to the level of attention she attracts whenever or wherever I present her Lingerie.
