The American Rose ~ Love + Grace

Today, there is so much trepidation in the United States, the stress is palpable. I am 66 years old and have clear memories of our nation under game changing duress: Kennedy, Selma, Vietnam, Watergate, 911.  But nothing in our country’s past has shaken our core quite like this election. I never believed that embarrassment would ever infect our patriotic spirit. It’s not my intent to be political in this column. I won’t be declaring my allegiance although I have one, absolutely. This is a very black and white defining point in America’s History. I wish I could crawl into a bed of roses and pretend that the voters will do the right thing.
