Yin and Yang

Bougainvillea and cactus, ocean and desert, fishing skiffs and yachts, hummingbirds and whales, warm people and extraordinary privacy: On the southern tip of Baha California in Mexico, I have discovered a way of living that reflects the perfect balance of a very casual, but classy existence. We are building a home in Cabo San Lucas, a place where escape is possible but a large and friendly expatriate community thrives. When I saw the Fleur’t Lingerie Spring 2011 assortment, I could not help reflecting on the similarities to the Cabo character that this brand embodies. Drenched in a rich color palette, the signature rayon spandex knit fabric drapes the body in an extremely light and soft, yet sensual fit. But it is the unique trims that add unexpected detail which defines these details and elevates this brand to a place of luscious femininity. What I love about this flirty cami (3201) and the cheeky ruched back boyshort (2143), one of several pieces from the Prelude to a Kiss collection, is their simple laid back attitude combined with a sophisticated nude rose Italian lace. The juxtaposition of contrasting materials creates a simple harmony of comfort, luxury and allure.
