Perfection ~ Twist

My father was a gentle man, very fastidious, very reserved.  He never raised his voice.  I never heard any ultimatums.  There were just expectations, very high expectations.  No matter what I wanted, there was always a goal before I could have it.  He was always raising the bar.  He taught me that I was my only true competitor.  His was a perfectionist whose standard for quality and performance were a constant objective.  I remember watching him stand on a kitchen chair in order to inspect a recent paint job in our breakfast room.  He wanted to insure that the painter had covered every inch of space on the top of a 10 inch corner shelf that was 7 feet above the floor.  No one could possibly see the surface from below.  My father taught me to analyze, and understand the essence of a product.  He spoiled me with good taste.  He was the embodiment of class, though I admit, occasionally I would have preferred a bit more sass.

I know it seems odd to compare a bra with one’s father, but the liaison was apparent to me, with my first Prima Donna Lingerie experience.  A few years ago, I visited the company headquarters in Belgium and was educated in the relentless engineering requirements of this brand.  Sewn with an attention to detail very rare in today’s mass world, Prima Donna is renowned for its quality and durability. I became a fan because of the excellent fit and extraordinary support. My one lament was a desire for a trendier design aesthetic.  And now, just as I could have predicted from a brand with state of the art technical expertise, Prima Donna has surpassed itself with the introduction of TWIST, a new line represented here by the A La Folie underwire bra and matching short.  Available up to an H cup, this is lingerie built with the standards of its forefathers in the style of a new generation.
