It’s funny how the generations roll over on each other. There seems to be this timeless lock, inexplicable in its emotional impact, but clarified by the familial items that anchor our memories. I have been thinking a lot about my mother since my grandson was born. She was such a wonderful grandmother: we used to call her Mary Poppins. There she would be, crawling on the floor under a card table fort in her perfectly proper tailored dress simply detailed with her Tiffany gold feather pin. I inherited that pin, kept it sequestered in my jewelry box, thinking it was just a little bit old fashioned, but aware of its intrinsic value. Now I recognize it for the jewel that it is. Brooches are back in style, gold has gained momentum and feather motifs are an important fashion trend this season, but it’s the memory of my classy and caring mother that transforms this keepsake into a beautiful statement.

The Dream Catcher collection from Christine reminds me of my mother’s pin and how much I wish I could give her such a deserving Mother’s Day gift. Pictured here is the chemise available in P-XL and the matching one size wrap robe. Even though this particular collection won’t be available until August it is an excellent example of this company’s DNA, gorgeous sleep and loungewear in rich colors and prints worthy of an artist’s brush.
