Featuring ~ Flannel and Lace

In the aftermath of hurricane Sandy when we had time to reflect on our lives (in the dark) my married daughter Kate and I had decided we had enough working for others, me as a nurse and her as a receptionist for an orthodontist. We’d had a dream of selling pretty lingerie in our own boutique in our little beachside town of Manasquan. We knew if we didn’t just DO it we never would, we were ready and NOW was the time. We found our location (the only store left in town) and went to work.
Painting, finding old armoires, dressers, hanging chandeliers and then onto finding merchandise. Kate attended a show in Atlantic City and purchased our pajamas ) PJ Salvage and Bedhead and I began shopping for lingerie, mainly On Gossamer, Oh La La Cheri, Steve Madden, Betsey Johnson, Carole Hochman and our pleasure chest featuring all of Lelo’s product line. We opened our doors within a month of our thoughts of doing so. 
WE LOVE our lives! It hasn’t been easy with so many women displaced due to Sandy and having a Victoria’s Secret not a mile away it’s been a slow start but oh so rewarding, we decorate and redecorate sometimes daily and we love every minute of it. We love speaking with the women who come into our shop and so far everyone loves what we have done with the space and knowing they can come to us for a gift or something special for themselves. We have husbands and boyfriends who are starting to come into the shop to buy for the women they love and its great fun!
