My passion for the intimate apparel business started in 1993, when I started working part-time for an established fine lingerie boutique in Portsmouth, NH. It was within that wonderful atmosphere that I was to find my true calling, which was to provide a positive impact on women by helping them to feel good about themselves. The concept of “Bella Intimates” was then born, and I opened the store in 2003.
Two years after opening my shop and expanding, I was diagnosed with stage-three colon cancer with a 20% chance of survival. What a blow! I endured two major surgeries and chemotherapy four days a week, for eight months. The recovery transformed what I believed to be my ‘true calling’ into my passion, which was to not only support women who have been through cancer or other life challenges, but to give them the ability to feel whole and beautiful within.
Ten years later, here I am the happy owner of a luxury lingerie shop which focuses on female empowerment. We are currently working on the accreditation of the shop, to help women who have been through a mastectomy.
After cultivating professional working relationships with the medical and women’s apparel community and having an inimitable reputation for supporting and assisting women in finding ‘that perfect piece for underneath’…. We are proud to be recognized as the ‘Premier Bra Fit Specialist’ in the Seacoast area of New Hampshire.
